Structural engineer
As Structural engineer you work on the design and analysis of complete composite tubular systems including all ancillary systems as well as establishing methods of operation, installation and testing. The design and analysis includes conceptual design, detailed design and dimensioning, strength analysis and finite element analysis. For all our onshore and offshore systems you establish installation methods and design the tooling that may be required. For our intervention systems you determine optimal modes of operation and advise our clients on the handling of our systems. Furthermore the design, build and testing of prototypes or the execution of technical operations are part of the job.
You report to the Engineering Manager. Within the projects you work in a team and report to the Project Manager. As our Structural engineer you are responsible for the structural design of the whole product or part of a larger system. You are capable to render professional technical input and to support the Project Manager in creating an effective, solution driven approach to the project. In this position, planning and risk management are important.
The position requires; ownership, team spirit, accuracy and analytical skills.
Education:
Academic level in technical education such as aerospace, marine, mechanical or civil engineering.
Work experience:
Experience and knowledge of composites or offshore engineering, structural design and stress analysis.
Knowledge
· Experience in FEM (e.g. MSC.Marc)
· Excellent command of the English and Dutch language
