Last month Applus awarded a contract to Airborne Composites in Girona, Spain, to produce sandwich panel samples as part of their testing program for Aircelle, France. This work is a continuation of the partnering between the companies in aerospace sample and testing that started in 2008.

Aircelle is one of the leading players in the global nacelle market, and has a workforce of 3,000. It produces large and small nacelles, thrust reversers and aerostructures. Aircelle is a subsidiary of SAFRAN, an international high-technology group with activities in aerospace propulsion, communications, aircraft equipment, defense and security.
